Fist you need to do is to make sure the version required to install the template as it is very important to use the version specified.
Open your template preview page and scroll down to see template requirements.
When you unzip Magento engine you get similar structure – you need to copy all the content to your web server (localhost server) root or some folder (www, htdocs etc.).
